WELCOME TO OUR SPRING/SUMMER SEASON FOR 2017. WE HAVE LOTS ON OFFER TO WELCOME YOU INTO OUR THEATRE DURING THE BRIGHTER EVENINGS. We open our season with City of Derry Jazz & Big Band Festival headliner IMELDA MAY who has added a second night on 1st May, due to demand. The WALLED CITY TATTOO returns with their magical rousing beats in May while there’s more music with THE MAGIC OF MOTOWN in the same month. Country music’s NATHAN CARTER is back this season and I am delighted to welcome traditional musicians PAUL BRADY and ANDY IRVINE on their 40th anniversary tour.

people are on stage again this season with the return of the Youth Musical in July and their production of the hit musical, WEST SIDE STORY.

Our headline West End show this season is Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, starring X Factor winner, Joe McElderry, which makes a welcome return to our venue in May/ June.

Thank you to all our patrons and sponsors for their continued support which helps us to bring bigger and better productions to the people of our city and beyond.

We have a treat for our younger audiences with the stage production of the classic nursery rhyme HUMPTY DUMPTY in May. The producers of ROOM ON THE BROOM also return with WE’RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT- LIVE ON STAGE in June. The latter is direct from a smash hit West End season and international tour and brings Michael Rosen’s award-winning book vividly to the stage.

The Walled City Music Festival presents a gala concert in June featuring legendary flautist James Galway and an acclaimed line up of musicians. In addition, we look forward to welcoming Foyle Opera in their inaugural performance of Carmen in August.

I hope you enjoy our new programme of events. David McLaughlin Chief Executive

“A wide eyed philosopher of love and life who performs as if appalled by the idea of being bland.” THE GUARDIAN

As if receiving instructions from a strange and distant star, Tommy Tiernan takes to the stage refusing to take anything seriously.

Thurs 27th - Sat 29th April Time: 8.00pm Tickets: £25.00

The political and the personal are all up for grabs as the only goal of the evening is laughter. Let our struggles be mocked and our cares abandoned. Allow yourself to be guided by a language loving and theatrical performer with a half thought out plan, no professional qualifications and a mouth with a mind of its own. Can you trust him? To be silly, yes. To behave, no. Like a bus conductor standing in front of an orchestra with a spoon in one hand and air horn in the other what could possibly go wrong!?

Eilish O’Carroll Live, love, laugh

Best known as Winnie McGoogan in her brother Brendan’s successful BBC sitcom, ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’, Eilish comes into her own here with this reflective look on an eventful life that includes a strict Catholic upbringing, two failed marriages and coming out as a lesbian at the age of 50. While poignant and deeply moving, it is also packed with humour. A 1950’s baby, and the ninth of ten children, she describes her childhood with affection and good humour. The end result is a warm, witty triumph that joyously celebrates being true to yourself.
