The Nerve Centre’s
Post-Primary Partnership
Programme offers five post-primary schools each year an exciting opportunity to join our two year support programme. Our post-primary programme aims to help schools increase their use of multimedia and ICT across all curricular areas. We work strategically with senior management to ensure that support offered from the Nerve Centre has the maximum impact in your school. Working together, participating schools will have the chance to develop a creative ICT programme with training, support and guidance from our experienced staff. The Nerve Centre will guide schools to ensure that new skills gained are useful, add value to your teaching and are accessible to all, regardless of previous ICT competence.
The programme will consist of:
• 1 All Staff Training Day delivered by the Nerve Centre to introduce all staff to the possibilities that exist with technology, giving departments within schools the opportunity to determine best choices and practice (Year 1). • 2 days (or 4 half days) of creative ICT/multimedia teacher training by the Nerve Centre to designated teaching staff/departments in school. • 2 days (or 4 half days) of in-class assistance to the designated departments on curriculum support (e.g. planning a shared resource) or, as they deliver projects to pupils in school. • Ongoing technical support from the Nerve Centre during the partnership • Access to the Nerve Centre equipment and resources, where possible
