The Nerve Centre’s
Primary Partnership Programme offers five primary schools each year an exciting opportunity to explore the creative use of digital technologies in the classroom. We work strategically with senior management to ensure that support offered from the Nerve Centre has the maximum impact in your school. Participating schools will have the chance to develop and facilitate a creative ICT programme with training, support and guidance f rom our experienced staff. This programme will be of particular use to schools as they implement CCEA’s Key Stage 2 UICT Assessment.
The programme will consist of:
• 2 days of creative ICT skills training to designated teachers from each partner school at the nerve centre. • 1 follow-up twilight to assist designated teachers as they design their own projects and scheme of work • 2 full days of assistance to designated teachers as they deliver projects to pupils in class in their own school • 1 full day of assistance to designated teachers as they deliver teacher training in their own school • 1 twilight for participating schools to share and evaluate experiences (Please note that designated teachers and school Principals are expected to attend) • Ongoing technical support from Nerve Centre during the partnership • Access to Nerve Centre equipment and resources, where possible
