Architecture does not see a window only as
a construction requirement, but as a framing threshold condition that connects what belongs to exterior and interior and as a condition that facilitates the structure of authority and manages. In oder to attain a dynamic relationship between two different defined spaces, the design of a window condition has to synthesize possibilities and needs, and provokes the paradigm of
8
inherent authority.
Type A
Type D
Type A allows guest to see the glass sculpture from sidewalk and also an overview of the second floor that can be installed as a display too. The tilted glass minimizes the glare from sunlight, allowing a better view for clients. The store front is pushed forward to give clients a complimentary space where they can sit and park their bike.
Type D allows clients to feel free to come in and out from the store without losing an opportunity to visit the experience of the store. The glass might show the glare from sunlight but the good thing is the display can be installed to be facing inward and put a shade system for the front view. $$$
Type B Type B is a combination of two different kind of tilted glasses which are pushed forward to give a complimentary space for sidewalkers. The main front space is all opened to the top to give more opened space to the sidewalkers. However, the bottom storefront may get a glare from the sunlight and it needs a different strategy to solve the problem.
Type E Type E allows clients to experience two sides of different experience from two different kinds of tilted glasses. This type of storefront using a strategy in which to invite people by getting curioused and experiencing the beginning part of the store. $$$
Type C
Type F
Type C that is titled outside from the store facade catch attention the sidewalkers that may potentially be the clients. The tilted glass minimizes the glare from sunlight, giving a clearer view of the display area.
Type E that is the least successful storefront design, considering that the sunlight will be bouncing back to the clients’ eyes and hinder clients from seeing the display.

Diagram of Design and Manufacturing Process This Diagram shows how JF & Son starts their idea using a cloud source retail store. This store emerges the idea of managing the equal authority between the manufacture and client, thus where the design of the storefront begins.
30째 optimal tilt angle benefits a storefront from glare. The use of this angle is later architecturally translated and defined to be a variety of modular systems, which are used for fitting room, display system, private smoking room, and seating area.

“The Revival of Equilibrium” Mausoleum and Sport Center’s concept is derived from the
initial macramé process which the balance and consistency among those intertwines are essential. The black rope which holds all the members is also translated to be the main circulation, where people can see and experience both mausoleum and sport center at once.
Mausoleum is today have become a large community space that change the way people think about solely a place for celebrating the death. This space is also incorporated with a sport center that is designed for people living in Los Angeles to cater their needs with more balanced, healthy lifestyle.
16
The actual site, which is located on Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles, has been surrounded by significant artistic neighborhood which dominantly grasps the gothic architecture. This sport center offers a lot of variety programs, such as yoga, cardio, toning, and swimming pool to provide more options. The overall intention is to provide a space for people not only to exercise, but also to experience the celebration with the death.

MacramĂŠ technique applied
in this research involves the reiteration of simple component, which at the end it creates the pattern, movement, and strength. Two main methods used on this research are the diagonal and spiral, selected based on the series of macrame skills which has proved that these two techniques are the most consistent ones because none of the string members is stop sooner than the others.
Black rope is used as a core the main structural system in this reserch Thin color ropes are the members. They correspond to the black rope as a whole system. Initial Process Using the thick black rope as a core Spiral or twisting tehnique allows the core to act stronger and start to behave as a structure. Each member now can be mixed and intertwined with another.
Each color (or member) is intertwined with the next color. It creates a diagonal pattern and remains the consistency.
1st Technique - Diagonal The most consistent macrame technique, because none of the members is finish sooner than the others.
2nd Technique - Twist Another consistent macrame technique, which adds the strength to .the core, make the core to possibly be able to stand up and bend.
At the back side of the diagonal pattern, members of the same color are lined up emerging as a series of loops and dependent on the secondary core. It shows that each member reacts as a secondary core, working together with the rest of members and creating a new plan.
Back side of the diagonal technique Each member is corresponding with the other members as and act as an insertion

Designing an installation for a public space at LACMA.
LACMA has potential aspects to provide people a nice space to occupy with a good amount of shade and perspective views. Education and seation area will provide the opportunity for adults, kids, and teenagers to socialize, communicate / learn, and get familiar with the old and new artists and their works, while enjoying the California weather.
Based on the manifesto of Donald Judd’s “Untitled”, the Simplex Frames applies the essence of minimalism,
without any compositional hierarchy. The study of shadows, repetition, and proportion have formed
32
frames, to not only offer protection but to also capture the existing landscape of LACMA Campus.
This project begins with a field reseach at LACMA where the interest of shadow has intrigued the tendency of greater occupancy. This study has proven that the broader space under shade, the bigger amount of occupants it becomes. Thus, this reseach has lead the project to another phase of investigation to design a tectonics system where it involves shadow and occupants.

No hierarchy The concept of having no hierarchy is influenced by the existing artpiece which emphasizes the equal hierachy among the members. This project consists of cubes that are made out of the same dimensions, which purposely created no hierarchy among them. Each row of the cubes are 5째 slanted different than the previous row The unique thing about this project is that every piece of each row is slanted 5째 so every row becomes lower and lower. Interested in the study of shadow According to the first assignment about the study of shadow, this project is also interested in an impact of how shadow , plane, and angle start collaborating and create a sequence of different space.

2 All sides have equal length, so then each side will force the other side to follow the angle.
Every angle is slanted with the same angle to keep the consistency.
For the proposal of the installation at a site in LACMA, this project will be a hanging plant pot, and the focus will also be on the shadow cast from the different angle of the cubes.
