The Care Certificate PCB Care Certificate In March 2015 the requirements for induction training for health & social care staff changed fundamentally through the introduction of the “Care Certificate”. This was designed to replace the then existing “common
induction
standards”
and
recognised
“national minimum standards”. The shift in philosophy was to move away from a purely theory based programme by adding the requirement to observe “competence” within the workplace, in order for the Care Certificate to be awarded and the delegate to be signed off as competent.
