CLASSIC DESIGN J. Hirsch Interior Design has been designing award-winning interiors for 20 years. Janie Hirsch, ASID graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the School of Architecture and was selected as one of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Top 20 Under 40 annual list of emerging talent. Janie, a Louisiana native and the daughter of an architect and watercolor artist, landed on her feet in Atlanta following a stint in New York City working for a lighting designer. Janie has designed homes from Georgia to Louisiana and Florida and has received numerous local, regional, and national design awards for personal homes, show houses and model homes. Janie was most recently awarded an ASID gold award for an Auburn University Sorority, for a total of eight awards which includes model homes, singular spaces such as a wine cellar and tasting lounge, and a private home in Buckhead. The ASID Southern Accents National Residential Interior Design Contest awarded Janie for a kitchen that was featured in Southern Accent’s January/ February 2008 issue. This same Marietta home was also awarded
a national Best in American Living Award (BALA) and an Atlanta Home Builders Professionalism Award (OBIE). She has participated in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Show House & Gardens, the Alliance Theater Christmas House, the Atlanta Magazine’s Dream House, Roswell Woman’s Club Designer Show House, and Christmas at Callenwolde.
