Dear Network, We have already started our term a week ago, but we needed to come together in a live meeting to create our Work Plan. Newsletter We will create an online newsletter delivered monthly to the locals, which would make the work of Network Commission more visible and would provide better communication of news to the Network. It would be also a space to share best practices of the locals, reminders about deadlines and short reports of important NetCom events: NWMs, NetCom trips, etc.
Collaboration between locals and Universities/ locals and NGOs Successful collaboration with universities is a determining factor for local success. Universities are able to provide a local with material and financial resources, as well as visibility and in some cases accreditation for our voluntary work. Meanwhile, some universities continue to refuse recognition, cutting off antennas from these valuable resources. By collecting information on ways and motives for collaboration, we hope to provide struggling locals with a tool to approach a university for support. Collaboration and competition between AEGEE and other NGO's are harder to map and cannot be generalised from one city to another. However, useful patterns may still be found. Generally, it is better to collaborate than to compete, and we would like to educate our locals about this topic by providing guidelines for collaboration.
Antenna Criteria for Dummies Continuing work started in the last term to make antenna criteria more understandable and visible to decrease the amount of problems surrounding them. This will be achieved through publishing a booklet to explain every criteria in detail: the reasons behind, how to fulfil and a timeline.

Sharing best practices AEGEE Network gathers a lot of competences, skills and ideas, but they are not organised and available for each other to see. We will gather best practices of different topics from all around the Network and share them with you, so that the resources and ideas we already have could be put in use where there is a need. As some locals might have weaknesses where other have strengths, we will bring you together and help you share, ask questions and provide answers. For this we will have Hangouts that everybody is invited to join and that will be recorded for further distribution.
Collaboration with European Bodies We will continue to work on collaboration policies between European Bodies and Network Commission to ensure more efficiency and division of tasks to support the Network together.
NWM Reform The aim of this work plan topic is to introduce improvements in the current structure and format of Network Meetings that will help increase their quality and achieve higher outcomes. To fill this aim we will introduce the following changes: issuing a common open call for hosting locals, having a common application form and periods, unifying the criteria of participants’ selection, having common outlines for sessions happening all around the Network, improving NWM booklets and follow-up process. All the steps will be explained in more detail when the time comes.

Twinder and NetCom projects The two NetCom projects Twin Antenna and Mentorship have been created to help the locals cooperate, share their ways of work, help each other, create personal connections etc. They have been on going for a long time, but we still see the need to continue and promote them further, as they have a tremendous potential and there can never be enough friends! Twinder is a tool created by previous Network Commissioners to help promote these two projects and cultural exchanges and make it easier to find locals to cooperate with. With Twinder as a tool to reach the aim of our projects, we hope to create more Mentorships, Twin Antennas, Exchanges and generally cooperation in the Network.
Besides the points mentioned above we will of course continue working individually with our locals, helping them in any way possible. We will also develop the Network Commission internally by improving our visibility, continuing to develop our Working Format and our internal Knowledge Transfer etc. All of the tasks of the Network Commission are written in our Working Format, available to read in the latest version of CIA.
The Network Commission is always open to hear all of your ideas and suggestions. You can contact us via netcom@aegee.org and follow our progress on Facebook and Members Portal.
