STATEMENT
Our work explores the relationship between structural systems, building form, and user experience that enhance the spatial and materialistic building expression of wood construction. We aim to optimize and focus on wood as a tectonic framework to create a performative and decorative expression within a space. Our building’s massing within the site maximizes exposure to natural daylight, air, and views; thus, drawing nature into the building and creating a gradient between the interior and exterior environments. ƪ ƪ such that the building remains viable under extreme environmental conditions. The interrelationship between the built form and nature creates a sense of well-being and productivity. Villalobos & Walker
