Is the course right for me and what do I get out of it? All you need to undergo the training is a passion for promoting horse-welfare and a desire to improve your equine client’s partnership with their rider. This can be a stand-alone business for you, or can be added onto your existing service: you could even become a mentor to others on the course. By the end of the course you will have the knowledge and tools to correctly select a bit that suits horse and rider, improve the horse’s comfort and performance by conducting a holistic assessment, and know when to call another professional by asking the right questions. You will also receive training on the Avansce Synchronicity System™, enabling you to take measurements that quantify changes in the rhythm, consistency, contact and balance through the reins. This can also be used as an added service for improving the horse-rider partnership. The Academy’s Equine Bit Fitting Course raises the standard for professional bit fitting by providing training leading to certification from an accredited body and delivering continuing education. Completion of the course enables the holder to professionally fit bits to horses, consult and offer advice to riders of all disciplines at all levels. Trainees will receive their education from highly qualified professionals with years of experience in research, education, lorinery and equestrianism. By assessing both horse and rider, a qualified bit fitter can improve a horse’s well-being and performance by supporting the progression of the partnership through the bit, and more. Module
