The family of Mary Katherine (Land) Turley, wishes to thank the many friends and family who joined in the Celebration of Life held recently in memory of Mary K, who passed on January 3, 2015. The ladies of Community Christian Church. The ladies of OES Chapter 13, and the ladies of the LDS Church provided a wonderful luncheon. Marilyn Webster provided beautiful piano music during the meal. Her talent was greatly enjoyed. Thanks to those who provided the beautiful plants and flowers in memory of Mary K, and to Mercy Hospice and The Sharing Bucket, who she supported and from whom she received services. She would have been so pleased and grateful that Timothy L. Wells, son-in-law, and spouse of Sonja, read the obituary and delivered the warm and humorous eulogy. Eight-year-old great-granddaughter Regen Caroline Wells, daughter of Matthew and Katie Wells, gave the blessing for the food prior to the luncheon. Mary K certainly loved all the children, grands and greats, but she was particularly taken by little Regen’s pure devotion to God. She is always willing to pray when asked and she is always eloquent in her innocence. It was a good, happy time that Mary K would have loved. As she always said to her daughters, Jean Ann and Sonja, at the end of any family gathering, “We had a good day.” Yes, we did, and we sincerely thank you.
