Live Tales is a programme of free, fun and engaging creative workshops for Key 2 classes/levels. These take place in our Studios on Newcastle’s Quayside, just behind Live Theatre on Broad Chare, NE1 3DQ, at The Fire Station, Sunderland, High Street West, SR1 3HA or online direct to your classroom.

Entering the world of Live Tales allows teachers and children to explore creative writing from a new perspective. The in person and online workshops allow pupils to embrace creativity as worlds are built, characters come to life and ideas spark excitement and confidence. They can explore original thinking and discover their voice as they draft their own stories and explore playwriting. Even the most reluctant of children will be inspired!

Live Tales Story Writing Workshop gives your pupils the chance to create an original story with brand new characters all drawn live as the children create them. Every child leaves with their own illustrated story to inspire them to carry on writing, at school or at home.

Live Tales Play Makers introduces your class to story and script writing in a playful workshop using games to look at characters, storytelling and dialogue.
