New plays from the next generation of theatre-makers. Selected by Live Theatre for their exceptional new ideas, and supported through it’s talent development programme. All events are suitable for ages 16+, contains some strong language and sexual references.

Is conservatism the new punk? Alt-Right explores what it’s like to be a disenfranchised young man in modern Britain. The story of friendship, disenfranchisement, punk-rock and a global movement - born of economic, political and social frustrations. £8, £6 concs Approx. 1 hr

Created & performed by Jake Jarratt & Cameron Sharp Set in their teenage bedrooms, discussions of identity, class, sexuality and gender collide. Exploring sexuality, mental health and the relationship between a mother and son, this gig-theatre piece combines storytelling, soundscapes and soulful looped vocals. £8, £6 concs Approx. 1 hr

Playwrights Vinay Patel writer of An Adventure (The Bush), Sticks & Stones (Paines Plough, Theatr Clwyd), Dr Who and Murdered by My Father (both BBC), Chris Bush writer of The Assassination of Katie Hopkins (Theatr Clwyd), Pericles (National Theatre) and Steel (Sheffield Theatres), alongside Chris Foxton, Executive Director, of playwright development agency Papatango, Charlotte Bennett, Associate Director, Soho Theatre, and Joe Douglas, Artistic Director, Live Theatre, discuss the future of playwriting, followed by a Q&A. £3
