This current collection of paintings by Daniel D Stine are tributes to wanderlust and experiencing the bounty of New Mexico. His work captures the awe one feels as they turn a corner on a hike, when one remembers to slow down at the golden hour or experience the gift of the night sky. The subjects of these pieces are the land, sky, and sensations that exist in between. Stine attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago graduating with a BFA in Art History in 2007. He is an avid traveler and gets much of his inspiration from the landscapes he explores and the people he meets. Daniel has studied and practiced his art in Flagstaff, Arizona; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; and Prague, Czech Republic. He currently resides just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico, with his partner in their home by the Pecos River.

What is “Daydreams & Nightwakes in the Gloom”, and why isn’t it for sale?
August 30, 2024, will see the 100th Burning of Zozobra, a Santa Fe tradition started by artist Will Shuster, Jr. In celebration of this momentous occasion, The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Gallery Association have worked in collaboration to create 32 Zozobra statues, which have been painted by a handpicked group of New Mexico artists. Each of these delightful interpretations of Zozobra are as varied and unique as the artists who have created them.
