Adobe Illustrator This programme has allowed me to execute my designs, rough ideas in an efficient way with high quality results. I prefer to use this programme for vector designs and partially photographic minipulation.
Adobe Photoshop Having never used this programme prior to this course, I feel that this ‘tool’ has developed my ability to edit photographs for presentational purposes.
Id
Adobe InDesign I know that before attending university, my presentational skills were poor, this programme has allowed me to develop my
presentational skills
, due to the shear quantity of layout options.
AutoCAD Again like all the previous programmes I had never used the software, being able to produce high quality technical drawings has aided my work technically enbling me to use the workshop productivley.

Big Stock Buisness Man This was the First ever time that I used Illustrator, in this project I was asked to trace the iconic ‘Big Stock Buisness Man’ image, and insert both the shadows and the highlights.

Professions The aim of this project was to create a simple vector for three different professions,. I was only permitted to use 1 shape that represented an occupation.

3
Lego Man This Project was linked with an ongoing 20:1 scale of a lego man, however this exercise focused on helpping generate ideas in a highliy presentable fashion, by adding highlighs and shadows .

4
Hand Assembly In this project I was asked to trace two components being hand assembled. This project further linked with another project where I was asked to do a similar task with matches and a matchbox.

CAD O’Clock The final project within Illustrator combined both AutoCAD and Illustrator, this technique proves very useful when wanting to render simple shapes directly from AutoCAD. I designed a clock on AutoCAD then rendered the key features in Illustrator.

Stacking Chair After editing the Big Stock Buisness man and adding shadows and highlights we were then followed by a similar task in photoshop where I was given a JPEG image of this chair and then asked to remove the background in oreder to add drop shadows.

Swatch Presentation This project I feel was direcly aimed at what product designers would d o in the ‘real world’ of design. Here I was asked to produce Eighteen variations of one chair, almost presented in a page that would suit a cattalogue
13
7
Swatch Presentation Carrying on from the previous page, I then set out to make a desirable higher resolution of each chair , I suggested that if this was used in a shop it would give the client a better idea of what the product would look like .

House Illustration This is another project that combined AutoCAD with Photoshop, I used AutoCAD to create the simple line work and crossection then used photoshop to render each wall and section.
