The Newport Flower Show is just two months away, and now is the time to make your reservation. The opening night reception will be held on Friday, June 23, from 6–8 p.m. Day events run June 23-25 at the Marble House.

Flower Show tickets are for a specific date and time slot: 9 a.m. to noon, or noon to 3 p.m., with VIP early admission available. Preservation Society members should log in to their accounts before ordering tickets to receive a discount.

ENJOY A RELAXING DAY ALONG NARRAGANSETT BAY AT THE PRESERVATION SOCIETY OF NEWPORT COUNTY’S GREEN ANIMALS TOPIARY GARDENS

Conveniently located roughly 25 minutes from the Newport Mansions of Bellevue Avenue, the peaceful estate, laid across 7-acres, is mesmerizing with bountiful gardens and displays of greenery, flowers, and living sculptures of animal profiles. The collection of topiary trees cut to resemble animals like an elephant, a bear, and a giraffe, makes for a beautiful day for both adults and children.

Green Animals Topiary Gardens is located at 380 Cory’s Lane in Portsmouth, Rhode Island; tickets may be purchased at the location or combined with admission to one or more Newport Mansions.

On Saturday, August 12, the lawn of the Marble House, with views of the Atlantic Ocean, will have guests rock the night away to the music of Bob Hardwick‘s popular tunes while experiencing the simmering glow of the Tea House and the sounds of waves crashing Newport’s shoreline.

This year’s special treat is news that the event committee is co-chaired by Diana Prince and Mary Katherine Prince, members of the family that owned the Marble House from 1932 to 1963. H
