The wind blew, the rain swept. Two brave boys crept into the forest. Their names were Billy and Jack. Palms stretched like huge umbrellas over their heads. Trees, taller than giants, rose beside them.
‘What’s that?’ whispered Jack. ‘A blind bat,’ said Billy. ‘Come on. Let’s keep going. Quick.’
They soared through the air, high up through the clouds, till they smashed into a basket of tree ferns. ‘What is it?’ asked Jack. ‘It’s a python’s nest,’ said Billy. ‘Don’t stop. Just turn the page. Quick.’
