OUTREACH TEAMS

Starting college can be a challenging new season for young adults. At NHCC, our Jump Start program was created to support students transitioning from home to college life. Incoming Freshmen with leadership potential are granted a scholarship and invited to move into their dorm rooms one week before school starts to spend extra time in community amongst their new peers and upperclassmen.

Leaders encourage and support these students in their transition to NHCC by modeling healthy relationships, offering wisdom from their own experiences, and helping new students process the excitement of walking into the call God has placed on them in this new season.

The acronym TEACH captures the program’s goals:

TRAIN:

EXPERIENCE:

ACHIEVE:

CONNECT:

HONOR: young leaders in areas of ministry and life skills the history and culture of campus life leadership skills and set goals for the upcoming school year with classmates, staff, and New Hope West members God by investing in a primary focus on an area of giftedness
