Show Off Your Stuff! 20th Anniversary Open Sundays

Did you know you can showcase your favorite collection at the Library? The Library has 4 display cases available in Youth Services.

These display cases are open to kids in 8th Grade and younger, as well as organizations focusing on children. They may be reserved for one month to display collections, art, and information on kid-friendly local organizations.

Go to newlenoxlibrary.org/events/ exhibit-art-collections to download our Display Case Agreement Form. Copies are also available at a Youth Services staff desk. Can you believe the Library building is 20 years old this year? Celebrate how far your Library has come, and where we’re going, on Friday, December 10.

If you’re curious about next year’s renovations, you won’t want to miss this event. Keep an eye on social media and Library signage for details.

The Library building is now open on Sundays from 1–5 pm.

Did you know New Lenox Library went fine free this year? Research shows that small daily fines aren’t effective in ensuring book returns, but are really effective at keeping people from using the Library when they need it.

We’re in good company: Manhattan-Elwood, Homer Township, Joliet, Plainfield, Three Rivers (Channahon & Minooka), Midlothian, Oak Park, Fountaindale (Bolingbrook), Downers Grove, even Chicago—and many more. New York Public Library just went fine free, too!

While we plan most of our programs months in advance, we might have pop-up events, challenges, or videos to respond to our community’s needs and interests.
