May Craft Grab & Go

Ages 3–10 Mondays during May (see below) Youth Services Desk at the Library

Drop by the Youth Services desk or call to reserve a different craft every Monday beginning at 10 am. Everything you need is in the craft kit.

Crafts are available while supplies last. Crafts must be picked up by 8 pm on the day they are available.

LEGO Club 2013 Party for King Tut

All Ages Saturday, April 30 10:30–12:30 am Makerspace

Walk like an Egyptian over to our Makerspace for our 100th anniversary party celebrating the discovery of King Tut’s tomb.

Decorate Tut/Cleopatra masks, play mummy games, make a hieroglyphic name necklace, go on a scavenger hunt, and more! No registration required.

DIY bags with supplies for DIY video programs can be picked up at the Youth Services desk. Registrants will be emailed when bags are ready. Registration is required only if you need a supply bag. Videos are posted on Facebook, YouTube, and our website and can be viewed by everyone.

4th Grade & Up, Teens & Adults Online on demand, plus tutorials

New Lenox Public Library Create your Challenge design in TinkerCAD CHALLENGE TinkerCAD, then submit it to the Library for a free print in the color of your choice. Follow along with the on-demand videos, and ask questions during Sam’s live virtual tutorial, too! These challenges are online, on-demand and at your own pace. Create your own design using the TinkerCAD website. It’s free to sign up! All you need is an email address. Parental approval required. Once you’ve completed your Challenge design, submit it to the Library for a free 3D print in the color of your choice. The New Lenox Library has a YouTube playlist for on-demand video tutorials and a virtual TinkerCAD classroom with instructions for each challenge. Registration for each challenge opens at the first of the month. Registration is required to access the classroom.
