WELCOME TO AW17 Welcome to AW17 and to the edit of our favourite pieces for the season ahead. Prints and fabrics inspired by a range of eras run throughout the trends. These include regal tapestry, devore fabrics, heritage checks and 80s sequins and shapes. Ochre and rust are the new colours to be seen in, whilst red and pink add a burst of colour to outfits. Checks are key, these are seen across suiting and outerwear but give a modern update to corset tops and oversized blazer coats. The corset top is an essential layering piece adding the “cool factor” and providing a new silhouette for the season. On accessories, statement earrings, mini bags and cone heels dominate and add the perfect finishing touches to looks. Key pieces to look out for are the jacquard aviator jacket, ochre velvet dress and silver glitter slouch boots.

LINGERIE Lingerie and nightwear have been given a complete makeover this season. On lingerie important styles include bodies, delicate bralettes and negligées whilst waspies and lace up corsets form a more extreme silhouette. Sheer and soft fabrications showing layers and cute frills are key whilst dark textural embroideries layered over nudes and florals add intricate detailing. Strapping detail continues into AW. Lace up, lattice and elastic strapping are essential whilst cut out, panelling and high neck details add a new season twist. Embellishment is taken to the extreme with hardware and trinkets such as pearls, studs and zips. Nightwear is luxe and glamorous. Studded velvet two pieces, printed kimono jackets and trousers and the incredible longline floral dress are key pieces and add the wow factor to traditional nightwear.
