How is the subject examined?
Will I be better at coursework or exams

Who can advise me? How will I learn in the subject? What choices will I have post 16?

Are there courses / jobs I really want to do after NA? Will I be successful in the subject?
Things to consider • Is it a good idea to take a language if you are intending to go to University? • Have you chosen a good range of subjects? • Don’t choose the subject because ........ • Do you need any particular courses for a possible future career?
What happens next? • Talk to your tutor and subject teachers • Visit the stalls of the Option subjects • Read the curriculum booklet • Visit the careers section of the library • Talk to older students who are taking these courses
The process • Make your choices • Have a discussion with your teachers and your form tutor • Hand in your completed option form on the 14th March • The Academy will decide how many groups we can run • The Academy will inform you of your allocation of subjects in May
