Vienna a wonderful place to visit
Vienna is a truly wonderful city, with its imposing Baroque palaces, its cathedral, churches and museums, its elegant shopping arcades and famous Ringstrasse (ring-road) of huge governmental and civic buildings, overlooking great squares and open spaces. The cultural melting pot that attracted Mozart, Wagner, Freud, Schönberg and, of course, Johann Strauss, is home today to a cosmopolitan mix of cultures, a meeting place of west and east Europeans.
Your hotel
Your hotel will be allocated at the time of booking.
The world-famous Hofburg Palace – home to the Spanish Riding School, the Vienna Boys’ Choir, several museums and the Austrian president – is one of Europe’s greatest buildings. The Old Town, or Innere Stadt, is a labyrinth of streets humming with the buzz of the shops and cafés. Vienna is famous as the home of the Kaffeehaus, and no doubt during your visit there’ll be time to sit and enjoy coffee – and cake – in one of several celebrated Viennese meeting places.
