Day One – Fly to Pisa & transfer to Arezzo

Upon arrival in Italy, meet your tour manager and board the coach for the two-hour transfer into the heart of Tuscany, to spend four nights in charming Arezzo. Check into your hotel, rest and relax after the journey, and enjoy a first dinner.

Day Two – Morning at leisure and included

Day Three – Included full day tour to

Florence Journey to what for many is Italy’s most beautiful city. Take in the magnificent skyline, dominated by Santa Maria del Fiore, and explore the splendour of Santa Croce and timelessly beautiful Ponte Vecchio bridge. Florence is home to world-class galleries, including the Accademia, home to Michelangelo’s fabled David and the Uffizi, (entrances payable locally), to countless shops, designer outlets, restaurants and trattorie, where you can sit and watch the Florentine world go by. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day Four – Day at leisure or optional excursion to Siena and San Gimignano

On today’s optional excursion, head firstly to medieval gem Siena, its centrepiece the shell-shaped piazza il Campo, home to the annual Palio horse race. After time to explore, you’ll complete a fascinating day with a visit to the exquisite hilltop fortress city of San Gimignano, with its beautiful towers, medieval walls and cathedral.

Day Eight – Drive from Rome via Pompeii to the

Sorrentine peninsula Bid “Arrivederci, Roma” and board the coach for the journey to one of Italy’s most beautiful corners. Pause at extraordinary Pompeii, preserved forever as it was in 79AD, when towering Vesuvius, still a smouldering presence above, erupted with such devastating consequences. After the fascinating opportunity to step back in time, journey on to your welcoming hotel, nestled in the hills above the blue bay of Naples. Rest and relax after the day and enjoy dinner.

Day Nine – At leisure or optional day trip to

Capri Enjoy the surroundings of the hotel, with its sun-kissed terrace, or journey to Sorrento’s bustling harbour to cross by boat to the beautiful Isle of Capri, Mediterranean treasure and hideaway haunt of poets and artists down the years. On arrival, a minibus will take you to the picturesque village of Anacapri on the slopes of Mount Solaro. There will also be time for those who wish to take a chair lift to the summit of Solaro (payable locally). You’ll explore the island’s main town, with its chic, designer stores, before returning to the mainland and the hotel.

Day Ten – At leisure or optional Positano and

Amalfi Coast cruise Enjoy a last full day, perhaps heading down into bustling Sorrento by local bus or relaxing on the hotel’s terrace. A last, very special optional tour offers the chance to board a small boat for the breath-taking cruise on blue waters beneath the towering crags of the Bay of Salerno. Call in to pretty Positano for an included lunch, and perhaps take a dip in the warm water, before returning to the hotel for a last dinner. Day 11 – Return to the UK Make the short transfer to Naples Airport, to fly home at the end of a wonderful Italian escape.
