Inspiration for such films as Ryan’s Daughter and Far and Away, the Dingle Peninsula offers some of the country’s most outstanding scenery. In addition, the tour includes a host of visits and highlights, including, at Slea Head, Europe’s most westerly point, the Blasket Island Heritage Centre, which provides a fascinating insight into the unique community who inhabited the off-shore islands until 1953. You’ll also visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Dating from the 15th century, the castle is the most complete and authentic medieval castle in Ireland. A visit to Adare, one of Ireland’s loveliest villages, is another highlight, before enjoying the 100-mile circular tour of the Ring of Kerry.
