n the first half of 2012, regardless of where you live in Toronto or the GTA, the real estate market continues to show a strong performance. Although the number of June sales is down in Toronto by 13% compared to June 2011, the GTA has outperformed 2011 by 6.3% in sales volume.

These homes are sold within days of being listed and with multiple offers by first time homebuyers trying to get into the market. Waterfront sales in Georgina on Lake Simcoe increased from 22 sales to 33 sales in 2012, a 50% increase overall as at June 30th. Prices rose slightly by 2.5% in the same period.
