Kwa Mnqandi Mica Build was ravaged by looters in July and left in tatters – this community hardware store has been the source of expert knowledge and advice to the community for 35 years on all thing’s hardware and building.

The looting of Kwa Mnqandi Mica Build left the Bond and Carter families with what should have been a tough decision – rebuild or call it a day. The advantage of being part of the Mica family made this tough decision incredibly easy. The Mica Support Centre were incredible, taking it upon themselves to not only get the store back up and running but to upgrade the store to the new Mica standards.

The new Kwa Mnqandi Mica Build is a spectacular store boasting new till points, a paint counter, eye-catching shelf ends, attractive internal and external signage and shop front amongst many of the upgrades. This was all arranged and executed by the Mica Support team in record time.

Now, all they needed was to stock these shelves and once again the suppliers rose to the occasion and with fully stocked shelves the store was able to re-open on 25 August – a mammoth achievement that would have been impossible without the team from Mica Support and the ever-loyal suppliers.

Customers have embraced and welcomed the new look Kwa Mnqandi Mica Build and the store is proud to be once again part of the Nongoma community.

Not only has the store been rebuilt in a seemingly impossible time frame but normal service has also resumed with the annual day special event taking place for the fifth time on 2 November, which culminated in the suppliers and Mica Support centre staff being treated to a Nongoma style braai hosted by George, Greg and Brad at their home. The Kwa Mnqandi team would like to thank all those suppliers that were part of the rebuilding and to publicly thank the Mica Support team for their unbelievable assistance.

This is a new beginning for George Bond and Brad and Greg Carter and their team at Kwa Mnqandi Mica Build.
