Welcome to Electra Mining Africa Expo Centre, Nasrec, Johannesburg, 5-9 September 2022

Specialised Exhibitions warmly welcomes you to Electra Mining Africa, your 5-in-1 trade show experience. It’s your opportunity to make connections that matter at Southern Africa’s biggest mining, electrical, automation, manufacturing, power and transport trade exhibition.

Electra Mining Africa celebrates 50 years this year! Celebrating the past five decades of Electra Mining Africa effectively connecting people and industries, buyers and sellers.

Five days, five shows, five halls … and colour-coded outside exhibit areas

Each day this week, 1000’s of people are connecting across industries, 1000’s of face-to-face interactions are taking place and 1000’s of products are on display. Our five shows concept covers everything from mining and manufacturing, to automation, power, electrical and transport. An exciting showcase of new technologies, ground-breaking machinery and equipment, cuttingedge products, systems and services, and more! You can meet over 650 exhibitors across the five halls and outside exhibit areas; colour coded for easy navigation.

New this year is the Automation Hall, in Hall 7, covering a broad range of solutions including mechatronics. We are thrilled to have the support of the Society for Automation Instrumentation Mechatronics and Control (SAIMC). The free-to-attend seminar series in Hall 7, hosted by SAIMC, is focussed on automation and the speaker sessions are CPD accredited.

Exciting new products are being launched at this year’s Electra Mining Africa. Numerous live demonstrations are also taking place across the five halls and outside areas – including activations on water! Also look out for the exhibitors with give-away’s and competitions on their stands!

Not to be missed is the Forklift Competition taking place in the Outside Triangle Blue Zone. Lifting Africa and the Lifting Equipment Engineering Association of SA (LEEASA) are hosting the competition. Forklift Operators have the opportunity to prove their driving skills, compete with others, win prizes and be the champion!

Every day a theme day

We have embraced the ‘every day a theme day’ experience again this year; different themed days throughout the week. Topics presented at our highly popular free-to-attend seminars in Hall 9 are aligned with the daily themes. Hosted by the SA Institution of Mechanical Engineering (SAIMechE), the content-rich seminars are presented by industry experts. Our theme days this year:

Women in Mining South Africa (WIMSA) and the Lifting Equipment Engineering Association of South Africa (LEEASA) are both hosting conferences alongside the show.
