The Affinity Dicer is the largest cheese dicer manufactured by Urschel. The unit offers a sanitary design, optimal high capacity output and precision cuts. The dicer can process high fat, cold temperature products with additional feed assistance via a feed roll and drum. These units are delivered as a product transitions through the cutting zone.
The Urschel family of CC/CC-D series shredders delivers precise cuts at high yields required by the cheese industry. Each model offers continuous operation for uninterrupted production and can handle input product size up to 89mm. Models include the longstanding, production-proven CC and CC-D. These units are available in conjunction with the newer CC-DL and CCX-D series.
These high capacity, versatile machines feature interchangeable quick-locking double rings. Single adjustment cutting heads enable processors to change the type of shred in minutes. Specially designed knives do not require sharpening and are inexpensive to replace.
Types of cuts include the following varieties:
• Full shred
• Oval shred
• Crescent shred
• Wide oval shred
• Strip cuts
• Granulations
• Flat slices.
The thickness of the shred can be adjusted to suit specific production environments.
A key strength of these CC models machines is their operating principle. Products delivered to a feed hopper enters the rotating impeller and is held against the inner surface of the cutting head assembly by centrifugal force.
The cutting head assembly consists of several stationary and individual cutting stations. Slices or shreds are produced as the product passes each knife in a smooth and uninterrupted manner. Length is controlled by input product size. Urschel is distributed locally through Heat and Control.
