Safety first with the Ledenser EX series of lamps

The new EX series of Ledlenser Lamps, available locally from Awesome Tools, fulfils the ATEX workplace standards of the European Union (EU) by ensuring employees who work with electronic devices are able to pay attention to safety.

The ATEX workplace directive of the European Union states: ‘From oil and gas production installations to chemical plants and distilleries to saw mills and bakeries: The so-called ATEX directive applies to companies within the EU, in which explosive atmospheres related to gas or dust occur. These working areas are divided into zones according to the frequency and duration of the explosion hazard.’

Anyone who works in potentially explosive environment must pay attention to safety when working with electronic devices; safety standards are set out in the ATEX directives. The lamps of the new Ledlenser EX series fulfil these standards in every respect. They are specially designed for contact with explosive gases, vapours and dust in the best possible IIC and IIIC groups. They are optimally impervious to dust and water and are certified in accordance with the ATEX directive.

The Ledlenser EX series is suitable for use in working areas of Zone 0/20 where explosive atmospheres in the form of flammable gases, vapours or dust clouds (e.g. in gas tanks or grain silos) prevail predominantly.

The three products on offer are the EX4, EX7 and the EXH8.

EX4

The Ledlenser EX4 torch is perfect for flexible use in explosive environments such as gas tanks and grain silos.
