Bringing Brands To Life. Bringing Feet to Shopping Malls
In 2015 Creative Collective began to focus exclusively on Shopping Centre Marketing, with the aim of becoming the country’s leading supplier of events, promotions and brand activations.
Creative Collective played an integral role in the Menlyn Redevelopment Campaign (2013 - 2016) with its strong focus on the customer experience. Founder Maia Jordan explains that the company’s job was to make shoppers feel at home in the newly refurbished centre. “Our campaigns included the Grocery Avenue launch, featuring JSomething and Suzelle DIY (Gold Footprint), and the Christmas in Paris Campaign – with a pop-up Patisserie and Concierge Staff,” she says.
Among 2015’s highlights, the Nelson Mandela Square Relaunch saw Creative Collective delivering a 360º service, from conception to execution. The Westgate Super Regional Shopping Centre Redevelopment Campaign, including Westgate’s rebranding, was handled by Creative Collective. The relaunch went on to win two Gold Footprint Awards for the #WestgateCares Campaign (Digital Marketing Category) and the Walk a Mile in her Shoes (Community Relations Category) campaign.
In 2017 Creative Collective conceptualised and executed the biggest LEGO® event ever seen locally at Sandton City. The goals of creating a worldclass event for the centre (and all commercial targets) were met with great success. Creative Collective’s exceptional attentionto-detail made sure that visitors were delighted with the innovative structures and creative application of the LEGO® brand.
In February 2018, Creative Collective celebrated ten years of extraordinary growth across South Africa, on the back of the company’s vision of “creating and implementing stand-out events and activations, packed with visionary elements that captivate audiences and make clients and their brands look awesome.”
The company’s involvement in a multitude of projects includes shopping centre, festive and Easter campaigns, event staff procurement, design, bespoke fabrications, rentals, and strategic marketing campaigns.
