RED FLAGS OF INVESTMENT SCAMS FOR SENIORS
First, the bad news: Investors over sixty are top targets for con artists in every type of scam - but especially investment scams. Senior investors have been cheated out of savings, windfall insurance payments, and even the equity in their own homes. Now, the good news: You can help protect your nest egg by following four self-defense tips taken from cutting-edge research, interviews with the con artists themselves and actual investment fraud cases prosecuted in Louisiana. Come and learn to recognize and resist the red flags of investment fraud scams, and about free services available from the state to help protect your nest egg from con artists. You will laugh, you may cry, and you will wonder why you never heard this information before! Please note no investment advice will be given, and no products will be sold. Bring your lunch. Dessert and coffee will be served. For the Uptown talk, RSVP to Rachel Ruth at 897-0143 or rachel@nojcc.org by Monday, August 6.
