Celebrating Our Past. Embracing Our Future.

NOBTS.EDU/100

In the last one hundred years, life has changed in almost every way, except one: the world still needs the Gospel. One hundred years ago we began training those who would take that Gospel to the world. Now celebrate with us as we continue in the Gospel task for the next one hundred years.

Our Ministry Today

A Look Into the Future

It was a bold move. Founding a seminary in a city that knew little of the Gospel was risky but proved to be the perfect place to train leaders to reach a lost world. From humble beginnings, a legacy was born.

Around the globe or across the nation, the legacy lives on as NOBTS graduates serve boldly in a 21st century world with a message that remains unchanged: Christ, the hope of glory for New Orleans, for the nation, for the world.

The light from the past makes the future shine bright. God’s faithfulness over the last one hundred years is a legacy that spurs NOBTS forward to be more emboldened with the Gospel, more committed to the task, and ever watchful for God’s leading. The best is yet to come.

100MISSIONS MISSION EFFORTS 100 EFFORTS From the seminary’s earliest days when a bus marked “The Baptist Evangel” transported faculty and students across New Orleans for mission activities, carrying the Gospel to those in need has been a priority. Missions is in the seminary’s DNA. Join our students on the main campus and at our extension centers as we live out the Great Commission through 100 mission endeavors during our centennial celebration. 100,000 GOSPEL CONVERSATIONS

As a part of the centennial celebration, NOBTS hopes to mobilize our students, friends and alumni to engage in 100,000 Gospel conversations. A new phone app offering evangelism helps, a reporting tool, and follow-up assistance has been created Visit http://get.theapp.co/53c6 to download the app. WILL YOU JOIN US IN THIS EFFORT TO MAKE CHRIST KNOWN AMONG THE NATIONS?

INTRODUCING THE TIMOTHY PLAN Many of us want to help, but so often the need seems bigger than we can afford. The Timothy Plan changes that by leveraging your giving with the thousands of other givers. If you’re an alumnus, consider “giving your year.” A 2017 graduate would give $20.17 per month. If you’re a friend of the seminary, pick a year that is significant to you. Any year works. Every amount matters. Partner with us as we partner with our students. Go to www.nobts.edu and click “GIVE.”

COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS For one hundred years New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary has existed to train church leaders to take the Gospel far and wide. Many seminarians find that training in a special and eclectic place like New Orleans has given them an insight and edge to ministry they would not have received otherwise. Others have been a part of the NOBTS family online or through one of the school’s extension centers. With a brick at NOBTS, you have the opportunity to keep that connection open. Purchase a brick with your name, the names of family members, someone who helped you study at NOBTS, or pay tribute to the church that made seminary possible for you.

The brick program at NOBTS provides a tangible reminder of your time in seminary or allows you to honor a loved one.
