Ralph Fiennes is a sinister chef with a deviously designed menu dished out on a remote island to a group of complacent and pompous foodies. Sharp, cruel, and cathartic, ‘The Menu’ is a sublime blast at the extreme wealth and the extreme stupidity of high-end restaurant excess. There is much fun to be had with the age-old setup of strangers brought to an isolated location for a pernicious reason. A select group of 12 people who have paid an exorbitant amount of money for a reservation at Hawthorne. Hawthorne is an awardwinning restaurant located on its own private island whose head chef named Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) is generally considered the best in the world.
