If you’re looking to be active both in body and mind, Mote Marine Laboratory’s Rise and Shine Morning Paddle is perfect. What better way to enjoy the summer than soak up the early morning with native species of sea life? Bring a friend, spouse or enjoy the event solo as you navigate the Sarasota Bay.
This event is for all ages, including lifelong learning seniors capable of paddling their own kayak. Start your morning with a guided kayak tour of the bay. Paddle across shallow seagrass beds and take in the wildlife that depends on this dynamic ecosystem. Learn more about native species that you encounter. Soak up some early rays as you look for dolphins, manatees, birds and more, up close!
