From fairs and festivals to concert series and holiday gatherings, you’ll be entertained and enlivened all season long. Conyers

Rockin’ Rockdale Summer Concert Series Sunday, September 26 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Say goodbye to summer with the Rockin’ Rockdale Summer Concert Series, presented by Rockdale Parks and Recreation. The concert, which will take place at Costley Mill Park, will feature energetic band Gritz & Jelly Butter. Admission is free, and food vendors will be onsite. A one-day dog show hosted by BRC Global Canine Pedigrees, Inc., this is a can’t miss event. It will be held at Georgia International Horse Park and feature three handler classes. Tickets are $25 for guests over 12 years of age.

Braselton

Tour de la Charcuterie Braselton Saturday, September 18 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This event is a celebration of locally sourced charcuterie, which includes cured meats and accompanying cheese, bread, produce and more. Château Élan Resort & Winery and Hit’s Taproom will offer an array of wine and craft beer tastings. Explore new tastes, discover local products and learn how to create pairings for your own charcuterie boards. Walkers must be at least 21 years of age.

Tour de la Charcuterie Braselton

Tails will be wagging when Braselton digs in for its sixth annual Pooches in the Park. Plan to bring the entire pack to Braselton Park on Harrison Street, where there will be plenty of activities, including contests, a lure course, vendors and more. Dixie DockDogs will be splashing down near the tennis courts. Watch world-class competitive distance jumping and two days of scheduled competitions.

Braselton Zombie 5K Run Saturday, October 16 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Zombies have taken over Downtown Braselton! The best way to avoid them is to outrun them at this spooky event. Awards will be presented to the top male and female runners, top runner in each age group and best dressed zombie runner. This race is an official AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event and benefits the Downtown Development Authority.

Smyrna

Taste of Smyrna Saturday, September 18 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. smyrna.gov Hosted on the Village Green in downtown Smyrna, the beloved Taste of Smyrna event allows you to sample delights from more than 30 local restaurants. The event includes contests for Best Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Food Presentation, Best Decorated Tent and Best Appetizer, as well as live music, a wine and beer garden, kids activities and more. Tastes range from $1 to $4 each.

Jonquil Fall Festival

Hazel and The Gin Blossoms. These musical groups helped define the 1990s alternative and grunge music scenes, and they’ll share their biggest hits with audiences this fall. Tickets can be purchased online through the city’s website; tables are $50 for residents and $60 for non-residents. More than 175 handmade arts and crafts booths featuring work from a wide range of artisans are the centerpiece of this highly anticipated annual event, which Smyrna has presented for more than 20 years. Attendees also will enjoy live music, festival food, children’s activities and more. The festival kicks off with the Smyrna Police Annual Kids Halloween Parade.

Sounds of the Springs Concert Series. The evening’s musical guest will be KRP The Band, a four-piece cover band that plays music everyone can dance to all evening long. Bring a picnic or enjoy fare from local food vendors. Spooktacular Chase 5k/10k Saturday, October 23 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

The Spooktacular Chase is an annual event to help raise funds to support VRS, a local non-profit, dedicated to serving those who are blind or visually impaired so that they may live independently. The event takes place in Historic Powder Springs, and you can run in-person or virtually. The 5K race is a family-friendly and pet-friendly run; the 10K is a verified qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. Pre-register online and get ready for some spooky fun.
