If you’ve been thinking about making a move to metro Atlanta, there’s no better time than right now. The opportunities available for new residents are unparalleled, from outstanding housing options and a booming local job market to exceptional school offerings for children of all ages. For instance, on the residential side of things, metro Atlanta and the surrounding cities and towns provide a host of choices, including single-family homes, townhomes, apartments and condominiums, the latter of which has skyrocketed in popularity over the last few years. In fact, you can learn more about Atlanta’s burgeoning condo market in our can’t-miss feature on page 26. If you’re wondering how you can pay for the home of your dreams, look no further than Atlanta’s remarkable job market, which is a direct result of the many companies that are moving to and expanding within the area; you’ll find more about Atlanta’s big business moves on page 20. And even though it’s summertime, the new school year is just around the corner; fortunately, metro Atlanta’s private schools are ready to welcome students with everything they could need, including some of the most innovative and sought-after STEM programs in the region. Check out our article about K-5 STEM programs on page 52.

Of course, it’s not all business in the ATL. Just ask our active adult residents, who have access to some of the best outdoor amenities around and can take full advantage of them as the summer season heats up. And for those who want to explore the area when the sun is shining and the days are long, this issue will give you the 411 on the best places to stay, eat and play in some of our favorite cities, from Braselton to Decatur to Peachtree Corners (you can even learn everything about Gwinnett County’s largest city in our profile of Peachtree Corners on page 12).

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to make hay while the sun shines in our beloved city. We’re ready when you are.
