Swiss Brand On

Signs Iga Swiatek and Ben Shelton

Switzerland-based athletic apparel and shoe brand On, partially owned by Roger Federer, has signed Polish tennis star Iga Świątek and rising star Ben Shelton as its first tennis ambassadors.

Świątek, who is currently ranked No. 1 by the Women’s Tennis Association, is a three-time major singles champion, having won the French Open in 2020 and 2022 and the US Open in 2022.

“I’m very excited to be the first tennis player to work with On. I’m really excited about how the ‘Lightning’ innovation team works and adapts the technologies to the individual needs of the athletes,” Świątek said in a statement. “It was very inspiring for me to develop my ideas and needs together with the team and to work on my current and future gear.”

Atlanta native Shelton turned pro in 2022 and already has impressed tennis fans, most notably by advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2023 Australian Open.

“As someone just starting out in their pro career and a challenger on the tour, I think it’s fantastic to be working with a company that has years of experience in performance technology and is expanding into the tennis world. I’m thrilled that to be the first male tennis player to be sponsored by On,” Shelton said in a statement.

Going forward, both players will be wearing the company’s newly developed on-court collection for professional competition and custom editions of THE ROGER Pro shoe.
