It is expected that the Multiplex in Newtown Square will be operational in 2018. Carnival Cinemas has set an aim of 1,000 screens by 2018 and by end of FY17, it expects to have 600 screens. The market leader, PVR, presently operates 519 screens across 113 locations in 46 cities. Furthermore, INOX along with Satyam Cineplexes operates 420 screens and 107 multiplexesin 57 cities. However, Carnival has average ticket price which is lower than that of others and helps to achieve higher occupancy. With tie-up with firms from Hollywood, it would bring updated technology available in the world. The group aims to provide best movie watching experience in the country. Additionally, the group with its own chain of food court and other facilities is aiming at family entertainment zones where it sets up multiplexes.
