Concert in the Park Series Kicks-Off For Fun Summer Evenings in Little Falls

The Concert in the Park series is in full swing.

The concerts are held at Memorial Park at the corner of Main Street and Wilmore Road .

The Little Falls Alliance for a Better Community (LF ABC) is celebrating its 22nd year and the 16th marketplace season with a host of musical acts and that will run on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., weather permitting, throughout the summer months.

RB Express was featured on July 6 performing oldies music, including many DoWop era favorites. “Downtown,” “Dance with Me Tonight,” “Midnight Train to Georgia,” “Brown Eyed Girl” and “Runaround Sue” were some of the hits the band covered that livened up the audience and had some attendees getting up to dance.

The following acts scheduled to perform for the remainder of the summer are:

August 10 - “The Strangers”

- The most versatile band in NJ

August 17 - “4 Flight Rock”

- A journey to the early days of rock n’ roll.. all the way to the 70’s

August 24 - “Jersey Sound”

- Music that kept us glued to our radios

August 31 - “Total Soul”

- They keep us dancing all night long!

The Marketplace and More! opens at 6 pm prior to the concert and featuring an array of businesses and assorted food vendors, including Crafts, Sip n’ Swirl Ice Cream, Lakeland Bank, Visions Credit Union and Fine Arts Gallery & Sales. The Little Falls Boy Scouts Troop 14 will also be on hand to sell hot dogs and sausages. Vendors selling handmade accessories, clothing, paintings, jewelry, and lotions are also among the vendors participating, New vendors are always welcome. There is also a 50/50 Raffle every Thursday!

Rod Visser of Wayne came by to attend the concert with his friend Brian Kowalchuk, a Little Falls resident.

“I really enjoy coming to the concerts each year during the summer,” he said. “They always have great acts and you spend a nice evening outside.”

The concerts will now be livestreamed by Tobias Morgan Creatives for those unable to attend the concert in person. Scroll down the home page for the link to each concert livestream as it’s posted.
