Whitewater Developers Program
Rick, Barnard Castle, River Tees
Teesdale The river tees is home to some of the best grade 3 whitewater in the UK. It’s reliable source and stunning location can keep any whitewater paddler busy. We’ll be using many varied sections through out the two days. Whether it’s the gorged in Abbey rapids or the picturesque Low Force. We’ll have it all on our doorstep.
Accommodation Accommodation isn’t provided for this course however we can recommend local accommodation. We will be based in the small town of Barnard Castle just off of the A66. Barnard Castle has everything you need from cozy B&B to local camping. We will be staying at Daleview campground in middleton on tees.
Your paddling your course We believe in individuality, so that means a course that suites your needs and requirements. We’ll take it at your own pace. With small group numbers and expert coaching we’ll ensure that you’ll not only get what you want out of the course. But have a great time doing it as well.
Hannah, Abbey Rapids River Tees

The Essentials Accommodation Self catered accommodation can be an optional extra for £60 for 3 nights. Enjoy your paddling experience in comfort. What to bring Please bring suitable equipment for the conditions. I highly recommend good quality footwear as the bank can be very slippery. Here below is a quick list of items you will need • Full packed lunch and snacks to keep you going through out the day. A thermos flask can be useful •Suncream we might be a trifle optimistic but being on the water all day can leave us looking a little pink • Earplugs or nose clips, I highly recommend using ear plugs for any type of whitewater kayaking. Docs pro plugs are very good. If you have any further questions regarding location, equipment or just want to have a chat about paddling please feel free to give me a call at any time.
