SUMMER SHOWS
SUMMER PROGRAMME
We’re celebrating this summer with a fantastic season of entertainment for you all. From picnics to parkour, Shakespeare to Sweeney Todd and Reggae to new writing, the season begins with our ‘Party Week,’ welcoming everyone into Theatre Square to tip our hats to the Platinum Jubilee and celebrate our local community. There’ll be live music, stand-up comedy, a very Big Picnic and more! In June we launch our ‘Writers’ Week’ – an inspiring programme of readings and writing events. A true space for everyone interested in all things writing to come together and celebrate the power of words. Late June and early July see the arrival of some much-loved classics, including The Sound of Music and Much Ado about Nothing, as well as the new show Kabul Goes Pop: Music Television Afghanistan, about when two young friends take on the political landscape while trying to build a new Afghanistan, with devastating effects. Some events are ticketed, some are free and some are inside while others are outdoors. We’ve got comedy, drama, music and more and we promise a lot of fun for both adults and children. We hope you can join us!
