Overview
NextHarmReductionakaNEXTDistro“NEXT''isanonlineandmail-basedharmreductionprogramworkingto provideresourcestopeoplewhousedrugsthatcannotaccessin-personservices.NEXToperatesin30+states throughthepartnershipofin-stateaffiliateswhoseresourcesvary.Ourgoalistosupportpeoplewhousedrugswho cannotaccessin-personharmreductionservices.NEXTwillbehiringanOperationsDirectortoleadthe developmentandmaintenanceofNEXT’sorganizationalinfrastructure.TheOperationsDirectorwillbecoming intotheorganizationatadynamictimeofgrowthandwillprovidesupportduringtheExecutiveDirector’s leadershiptransition Wearelookingforsomeonewhoisasmart,savvy,andafocusedstrategicthinkerinterestedin buildingandmanagingteams
Responsibilities
● Supportcohesion,efficiency,andharmonyamongmultipledepartmentsanddiverseteammembers withintheorganizationthroughthecreationoforganizationworkplansthatincludesvisioningand buy-inacrosstheorganization;maintenanceandupdatingofworkplans
● Overseeadministrativefunctionsincludingcompliancewithallfundingandgrantrequirements includingtimelysubmissionofreports,contributionstograntwritingandfunddevelopmentefforts
● Representtheorganizationasappropriatewithfunders,stakeholders,andaffiliateorganizations.
● WiththesupportofaHumanResourcesprofessional,manageNEXT’shumanresourcefunctions includingrecruiting,hiring,onboarding,compensation,benefits,trainingandprofessional development,andadministrationofouronlinepayrollsystemandpersonnelpaperworkmanagement.
● WorkwiththeExecutiveDirector,staff,boardandstakeholderstobuildNEXT’sstrategicroadmap, leadingaconsensusprocesstoidentifygoalsandobjectivesandoutliningoperationalplanstoachieve thosegoals.
● Proactivelyidentifyinternalopportunitiesandchallenges(operations,teambuilding,communication) andworkwiththeleadershipteamtoaddressthem
● Leadoroverseethemanagementofprojectsthatsupportorganizationalgrowth
● Overseeorganization-wideinternalcommunicationsincludingsupportforstaffmeetingsand quarterlymeetingsoftheBoardofDirectors
● ManageNEXT’sphysicalspaceneedswhennecessary Thisincludesoverseeingoursubleaseandthe futureexpansionofphysicalspace
● RepresentandactonbehalfoftheExecutiveDirectorwhennecessary
● Otherdutiesasassigned
Requirements
● CommitmenttoNEXT’smissionandvalues,passionateaboutthefieldofharmreductionwithan understandingofharmreduction’shistoryasamovement,beliefindruguserhealthandrightofbodily autonomy,andintrinsicunderstandingoftheimportanceofopenaccessofresources
● ExperienceinanAssistantDirector,OperationsDirector,DeputyDirectororsimilarmanagerialposition, well-developedmanagementskillsisabletosupportadiverseteam
● Proventrackrecordbuildingrelationshipswithstaff,teamsandpartnersandexperiencebuildingconsensus acrossmultiplestakeholders
● Abilitytoworkindependentlyandinacollaborativeteamsetting,mustbeapproachable
● Exceptionalorganizationalskills,timemanagement,andattentiontodetail
● Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunication
● Ifworkingremotely,musthavereliableinternetandphoneservice
