NEXT Distro Position: NEXT Naloxone Data Assistant Part-time Consultant position $20/hour, approx 20/hours per week Location: Remote, strong preference for EST timezone Overview NEXT Distro “NEXT” is an online and mail-based harm reduction program working to provide resources to people who use drugs that cannot access in-person services. NEXT is hiring a Data Assistant to support our free naloxone distribution program which operates nationally through a collaboration of 30+ organizational partners. This position requires proficiency with spreadsheets and ability to manage dozens of datasets. Strong digital communications skills are also necessary in order to cooperate and build rapport with program partners across time zones. To accommodate program functions, 1-3 hours of essential program tasks must be completed 5 days per week before 10 am EST. Additional data entry and management can be completed on a timely, rolling basis. The right candidate will be someone who enjoys maintaining (and creating) organized data systems to facilitate smooth operational functions. Essential Functions ● Manage, clean, and process incoming naloxone request data from our national naloxone by mail program. To ensure timeliness of order fulfillment this must be done during A.M. EST hours ● Coordinate request fulfillment with program affiliates in 30+ states ● Communicate directly with participants who inquire about the naloxone program, request order updates, or submit corrections to errors in their request. This includes monitoring an organization email inbox alongside a personal inbox. ● Communicate with program partners to resolve data errors or modifications to incoming requests ● Clean and process overdose incident reports submitted to our program, and follow up with participants when necessary ● Identify and correct (or escalate to Program Director) data errors / anomalies / as needed ● Maintain an info sheet with updated affiliate program details and contact info ● Ensure the security and privacy of all participant information, ability to identify data security risks Requirements ● Commitment to supporting people who use drugs through harm reduction strategies ● Meticulous data entry and management practices, ability to organize information using spreadsheets, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets ● Experience with conditionally formatted spreadsheets, pivot tables, and spreadsheet logic a plus ● Must have computer with reliable internet access ● Reliable and trustworthy, ability to effectively communicate verbally and through phone/email/chat To Apply Email resume to jobs@nextdistro.org, include in the subject line: “Naloxone Data Assistant - [full name]”.
