2022 WORLD ARCHERY FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2022 World Archery Field Championship venue in Yankton, South Dakota is not only the largest archery center in the world, but it encompasses multiple facets throughout its facility. A few of these being the many indoor and outdoor ranges, the home of the National Field Archery Association (NFAA) Headquarters, and the National Archery Museum.
NFAA EASTON YANKTON ARCHERY CENTER
The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center truly is the world’s largest archery center at 140 acres. It provides ample opportunity for all disciplines of archery: target, field and 3D. The quality coaching staff caters to all archers whether you are a beginner, bowhunter, or international competitor. The center is also capable of hosting programs such as air rifle, tennis, and trap shooting.
INDOOR RANGES
It has one indoor range that is a climate-controlled environment for year-round shooting. With movable targets, the range can be set up for shooting at any distance up to 90M, and can accommodate as many as 80 shooting lanes for 18M tournaments.
FITA FIELDS
The facility has two Olympic Fita Fields: Easton Field and First Dakota Field. Both are 90M grass fields with room for a combined 130 targets and 260 shooting lanes. Awnings cover the entire width of the ranges, providing shade for the archers between ends, and a lawn behind the shooting line allows for spectators.
3D RANGE
With the outdoor 3D range, archers can shoot from a 40-foot elevated platform at 45 animal-shaped foam targets between 10-70 yards!
FIELD COURSES
The center also has 3 different outdoor field courses - Rushmore, Badlands, and Missouri. The courses consist of 28 targets each and are state of the art with all the accouterments.
NFAA HEADQUARTERS
The National Field Archery Association (NFAA) headquarters is also located at the WAC venue. The NFAA is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the sport of archery and is the largest field archery organization in the World. Founded in 1939, the NFAA now consists of 49 chartered state associations and nearly 1,000 affiliated clubs. The NFAA is a member of the International Field Archery Association and a national allied organization of USA Archery.
NATIONAL ARCHERY MUSEUM
The National Archery Museum displays all items archery related from patches awarded in the early years of the NFAA to bow inventions that changed the sport of archery forever!
LEWIS & CLARK RECREATION AREA
Boating, camping, fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, tubing and waterskiing are just some of the activities you can enjoy at the Lewis & Clark Recreation Area! Lewis and Clark Lake is a 31,400 acre (130 km²) reservoir located on the border of the U.S. states of Nebraska and South Dakota on the Missouri River.
