Our Story Nottingham Forest were founded in 1865. The club has been playing at The City Ground for more than 100 years and reminders of its illustrious history can be found at every turn. Forest’s most successful manager is Brian Clough, he managed the club between 1975-1993. During this time, he led the club to success in the European Cup (1979 and 1980), the Super Cup (1980) and the League Cup (1978, 1979, 1989 and 1990).


The City Ground Nottingham Forest have been located at The City Ground on the south bank of the River Trent since 1898. It has a seating capacity of 30,540 and attracts approximately 550,000 visitors annually. The stadium was a host venue as part of Euro 96 and was chosen for the same purpose for England’s 2018 World Cup bid.



The City Ground Megastore In the summer of 2013 the club announced Adidas as their official kit partner for the forthcoming season. The three-year deal brings the club and brand together after 22 years and will invoke fond memories of The Reds’ epic achievements in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Last season, the club sold a record breaking 30,000 home shirts to its supporters and since its launch on 26th June, away shirt sales this season have already reached 3500.
