A time when the world seems to be on pause, the coronavirus lockdown has given space to reflect on what happened before, the world now and where we might be in the ‘new normal’ of the future.
It is with this backdrop that Timelapse was born.
Keen writers in Year 10 and 11 from Notting Hill and Ealing High School and in the Removes and Fifth Form at Harrow School came together in a virtual way in June 2020. Working in groups of three, they were given the task of finding an image which exemplified lockdown. This image could be of anything which felt relevant to them, and each image then became the springboard for three pieces of writing: one set in the past, one in the present and one in the future.
