The Welland Campus, set on 100 acres of green space, is home to NC’s schools of Technology, Trades, Nursing and PSW, Allied Health, Community Services, Justice and Fitness and more. It houses an open-to-public dental clinic, Performance physiotherapy and occupational therapy clinic, massage clinic, the NC Teaching Hair Salon, and a hub for advanced manufacturing research
The Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake is home to NC’s schools of Business and Management, Environment and Horticulture, Hospitality and Tourism, Culinary Arts and Wine, Beer and Spirits. Unique learning enterprises on campus, include Canada’s first Teaching Winery, Teaching Brewery, Teaching Distillery and Teaching Greenhouse – which are ‘living labs’ for students and support student learning. The campus is a hub for research with innovation centres for Horticultural and Environmental Sciences, Food and Beverage, and Business and Commercialization. Located on the base of the Niagara Escarpment, the campus includes 15 acres of student-restored wetlands.
Innovation thrives at NC, evident in its recognition as Canada’s No.1 research college ranked by Research Infosource Inc.’s most recent annual “Top 50 Research Colleges” report, maintaining a consistent top 10 ranking for eight consecutive years. The College’s Research and Innovation division supports economic development by providing solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses. With funding support from various regional, provincial and federal agencies, students and graduates are hired to work alongside faculty researchers to help industry partners leap forward in the marketplace.
Currently, more than 10,000 students study in 130 diploma, certificate and bachelor degree programs based at specialized campuses in the Niagara region and NC is involved in projects and partnerships around the world. In addition to its two Niagara campuses, NC operates campuses in Toronto and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Recipient of an Honorary Diploma in Skilled Trades
Chuck McShane
Niagara Home Builders’ Association, CEO
Chuck McShane currently holds the role of chief executive officer for the Niagara Home Builders’ Association (NHBA) and is president of his self-owned company, CTM Consulting Services Inc. He is a former four-time president of the NHBA and has spent more than 20 years as a board member.
Chuck has received many homebuilding accolades. He is a two-time NHBA Member of the Year award winner, an Ontario Home Builders’ Association Member of the Year, and a Canadian Home Builders’ Association Award of Honour recipient.
A powerful voice for the home building industry, Chuck is renowned for his passion, energy and dedication to local and provincial associations, with a strong focus on advocating for youth in the trades and fighting for housing affordability.
Chuck is a believer in giving back to the community. He has served as a firefighter and as commissioner of the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission. He can be found lending his time to various charitable organizations.
For the past 10 years, he has been the CEO of the Steve Ludzik Foundation, a charitable organization founded by the former NHL hockey player to provide funding and assistance to those living with Parkinson’s disease.
For more than two years, he has been chair of the Niagara Children’s Centre Help Kids Shine Campaign, the Centre’s largest annual campaign to raise funds in support of children and families.
Chuck is also a key supporter of annual fundraising campaigns for Project Share of Niagara Falls and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Niagara.
Chuck happily resides in Niagara on the Lake with his wife of 33 years, Tatjana McShane. He is the proud father of two wonderful daughters that he adores, along with his two son-in-laws, and is an “Opi” to three busy grandchildren.
