Registration Policy
Refund Policy
All registrations must be submitted by the registration deadline. For specific deadlines for the current semester, please check the Important Dates section. Registrations received after the payment deadline require payment within 24 hours. Registrations not paid for by the appropriate payment deadline may be dropped at the discretion of the college.
Students will receive a 100% refund if a course is dropped within seven (7) calendar days of the course start date. After the first seven days, no refund is issued for dropped courses, and a grade of “W” will be issued. The seven day period is counted as follows: If a course starts on a Monday then Monday is Day #1, Tuesday is day #2 and so forth. Sunday would be day #7 and, therefore, the last day to drop the course with a refund. This policy can also be found online at: gps.nichols.edu.
New Students To ensure you are registering for the correct course(s) please contact an Academic Advisor at 800-243-3844 or schedule an appointment at www.nichols.edu/gpsadvisingappointments.

General Information
Blended Accelerated Sessions
Online Courses
Blended Accelerated classes include seven in-class sessions, one night per week, plus an online educational component.
Most online courses (see exceptions below*) have two start dates, meaning you have a choice of two dates on which to begin your course. Please indicate your start date when registering by mail or fax. You will then have 15 weeks from that Monday to complete the course requirements. The courses are all self paced so you may work through them as quickly as you would like or you can take up to 15 weeks to complete the requirements. The choice is YOURS! Our goal is to create an online experience to allow you maximum flexibility.
Blended accelerated courses combine the value of classroom presentation and discussion with the convenience of online learning. Each blended course consists of 7 classes (3 hours and 15 minutes) on site and an online component. Both portions of the blended course consist of assignments, readings, research, group work and/or participation in an online or in-class discussion. The blended course is designed in a participatory format and is led by experienced faculty/practitioners. As with every course, students are encouraged to relate their work experience to the course topics in order to enhance their learning experience.
* MGMT 485, GSB 600, GSB 602, GSB 800 and GSB 801 are offered online in 7 week sessions. These courses are not self paced as they require students to work in teams.
Registration Online Using WebAdvisor 1. If you have not already done so, you will need to request a new WebAdvisor logon. From the Nichols home page, http://GPS.nichols.edu, go to Admissions > Get Started Now > Request User Name and Password. Once there, you will see the link to Request WebAdvisor Logon. 2. When you are ready to register click on the myNichols link on the top of the GPS homepage: http://GPS.nichols.edu 3. Once you are logged in to myNichols, you will see the link to the WebAdvisor menu. From there, click on the Registration tab to register for classes. 4. User Name is first initial, middle initial, last name (example: if your name is James A. Jones, your username will be jajones. If no middle initial exists in the system, the username would be jjones). Your initial password is as follows #fmlMMDDYYYY. The password begins with the # symbol. "fml" is the first/middle/last initials of the person's name. "MMDDYYYY" is the person's date of birth in month/day/year format (including zeros; i.e. "06072006"). If you have problems logging into WebAdvisor, you will need to contact the Information Technology (I.T.) Department Help Desk at (508) 213-2206, send an email to helpdesk@nichols.edu, or visit the I.T. Department located on the Lower Level of the Library, on our Main campus in Dudley.
