T H E M E MORY P ROJ E C T Alabama Contemporary Art Center (AC) The Memory Project was my first major professional endeavor. I was working as a graphic design intern at AC, then Centre for the Living Arts, throughout the beginning stages of this large scale exhibiton. Upon being hired full time after graduation, I had the opportunity to work with global design consultancy, 2x4, to implement a new brand for the organization and its innaugural exhibition. I worked closly with 2x4 to bring the show to life, creating print and digital colateral for the launch and throughout nine months of programming.
F U T U R E S PROJE C T Alabama Contemporary Art Center (AC) Futures Project was a game changer for me. I worked closely with 2x4 and visionary executive director, Bob Sain to create all of the exhibition graphics and educational and promotional collateral for the show. Aside from the awe inspiring exhibition, Futures Project included a media installation, film, education, public programs and workshops. Our continued partnership with 2x4 provided me with valuable training in exhibition design, technical craftsmanship and maintaining organizational brand consistency.
C O M M U N I T Y BU I L D I N G The Community Foundation of South Alabama (CFSA) As the marketing and communications manager at CFSA, a nonprofit organization promoting charitable giving in our region, I was responsible for designing and distributing all print and digital marketing materials. During my time at the Foundation, I worked with the grant-making department to train small agencies in basic marketing skills and brand building. I also led a committee of seasoned fundraisers and event specialists in planning multiple events throughout the year, including the Foundation’s annual luncheon.
NOS TA L G I A S T U D I O L L C Digital photography specializing in children & weddings Since I was a little girl, I’ve longed to know what it was like before my time. Among all of my old keepsakes and vintage books, clothes, and trinkets, are my old family photos. They are my most prized possessions. There’s something so haunting and magical about those little snippets of time that never cease to move me. I look to those photographs I love so dearly for inspiration in my own work. Nostalgia represents my longing for happy times–cooking and laughing; a room full of rambunctious children, or walking through my mom’s garden on a quiet morning. These are the moments I want to remember. These are the moments I want to photograph.
B U ND OO F R E E L A N C E PROJE CTS A collection of print and digital marketing materials Bundoo is an online resource that educates and engages expecting and new parents in a conversation about the issues that matter to them most. Bundoo provides evidence-based information and makes it easy for parents to personally interact with our doctors and parenting experts.
