It’s easy to regift for the sake of it, but if you do it right you can turn an unwanted gift into something useful

Try add a gift tag on the next regift, make the message personal and connect with the recipient.

WRAP IT RIGHT when wrapping your present always use different wrapping paper and discard all parts of the gift that may be easily identiďŹ able.

Furthermore always wrap within a gift box or bag to further the idea that it is a well thought out gift.

CHOO -SING THE GIFT

Try not to use personalised or distinctive gifts as you can be easily rumbled.

NEVER SAY IT’S A REGIFT This has got to be a must. Saying it’s a regift will hurt the feelings of the recipient. No matter if you had good intetions, it will look poor on your part. If you want to regift, keep it to yourself.

—Whitney, 20, Houston, Tex.

27% ‘’Sweet Caroline’’

“A couple years ago, I regifted a cheap MP3 player I got from my uncle. I already had an iPod and didn’t want to bother putting music on the piece of crap he gave me, so I gave it to one of my soccer teammates when I was her Secret Santa. I was so embarrassed because she later asked me why I put “Sweet Caroline” on it, with some other song. When I didn’t know what she was talking about, she figured it out. I was caught red-handed and I felt bad for not appreciating my uncle’s effort.”

—Caroline, 22, Evansville, Ind.
